Montgomery Primary School Governors

On Wednesday 1st November we are happy to say that Montgomery established its new full governing board. We would like to welcome you to Montgomery Primary School’s Governing Board. We are dedicated to advancing the school’s success and ensuring a nurturing environment for optimal teaching, learning, and memorable experiences for the children of Montgomery Primary School. Together, let’s shape a bright future for every child in our community.

Montgomery Primary School Governors Strategic Vision

1) To ensure Montgomery is the school of choice in St Thomas.

2) To ensure Montgomery works with other schools to build professional working relationships and remain abreast of the current education challenges and changes.

3) To ensure Montgomery works with other schools and outside agencies to ensure external validation of the School’s self evaluation to ensure continued growth.

4) To consider the needs of the current context and future years to ensure resources, staffing and the building are effective and the budget is balanced.

5) To ensure strong parental engagement and a strong partnership between home, the community and school to improve learning outcomes for children.

6) To ensure the board are clear on what they know about the school, how they know it and the next steps to continue school development and secure impact.

'Governing Board Diversity

The board believe it is important that we reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Diverse boards promote inclusive school environments and provide diverse role models for staff and young people. We collect data on the diversity of the board, including age, ethnicity and gender and use this data to inform our recruitment and training needs and ensure there is always a diverse range of perspectives around the table to support robust decision making. We are compiling the report for the academic year 2024-2024.'
