Year 3
We will be updating seesaw
over the next few weeks with different English and maths challenges that can be
completed at home. Below are a few useful websites and some ideas for tasks
that the children can be doing in the meantime.
English websites

*Write a story (use a picture from Pobble 365 to help inspire you).
*Write a setting and character description using a character from one of your reading books or your favourite film character.
*Write a set of instructions for how to wash your hands.
*Write a diary entry about your day.

*Write a non-chronological report about an endangered animal from the Amazon rainforest.

Maths tasks

Create your own column addition and subtraction problems (3-digit
add/subtract a 2-digit number and 3-digit add/subtract a 3-digit number)
– use a dice or a deck of cards (1-9)
to create your numbers.
*Create your own column multiplication calculations in the same way as above.
*Collect data in a tally chart and then present the data in a pictogram or bar chart (you could tally how any different toys you have, the colour of the cars that pass your window etc.).
